Warmest Greetings from "the Oasis"
We would love to see you this Sunday. If you have been away a while, this will be a great Sunday to come over and celebrate with us. If you used to attend and have thought about coming back, any Sunday is great but on this Sunday, you will fit right in. We have come a long way in nine years and we would be simply delighted to have you with us.
Most of all, we want you to know that for 52 Sundays a year, for nine years, Desert Oasis Chapel has been declaring to our community that the love of God and the Lordship of Jesus Christ applies just as much to us as it does to anyone, anywhere. We stand against the nonsense of the fundamentalist community and we stand for the authority of the Bible in declaring that we, gays and lesbians, are proud to be part of the family of God. If you stand with us, we welcome you. If you are still questioning or seeking, we also welcome that. Our God is a great God who created us to be worshipers, seekers, wanderers, even skeptics. But God's love prevails and we're here to tell you about it, again or for the first time.
So come on over, cancel your plans for the morning and early afternoon, join us for food, fun, friends and fellowship. We guarantee you will leave with a full stomach and a filled spirit.
As always, our service begins at 10 a.m. at Wiefels Chapel, 690 S. Vella Road, Palm Springs. We have plenty of parking and it's going to be a great day.
One more reminder, if you have non-perishable items or personal items or toiletries for the men and women who rely on the Desert AIDS Project pantry, we help refill that every week with our donations and your contributions have made and will make a great difference. Thank You.
