At the end of Acts 12, the message of the Book of Acts moves from Peter and the disciples in Jerusalem to the ministry of Paul to the Gentiles. Paul’s job was to go the gentile cities and proclaim the redemption message of Jesus Christ’s life and death and resurrection.

My reading of the Book of Acts reveals several main themes that are still important. • God has a plan for the world. • God finds people to carry out that plan. • The Holy Spirit enables those people to do God’s work. • God will do what it takes to make the plan happen. • Things are going to change, God’s not okay with the status quo.
